Bryce Canyon

I loved hiking at Bryce. The campgrounds were in the forest but then I picked up the trail and I was walking on a ridge looking into the desert. The sky floated on top of the rocks.

Bryce was cold at night. The campground is around 8,000 ft. What a difference a few thousand feet in elevation makes! Funny how I knew nothing about elevation after spending my entire life on the east coast.

I wonder how high up we were in Mexico. I'm going to look it up.
When I was in Colorado for two months when I was 10 you could tell how high up you were. We were in Aurora and we could see Denver below us in the distance. Amazing.

ok, Philadelphia is like 12 meters about sea level. Xalapa is 1427 meters.

Naolinco is I think higher than Xalapa for sure!
Mexico City is 2240 meters.

Tlaxcala is 2100 meters.
